Moraczyński Sławomir

He was born on 24th April 1976, in Inowrocław, where he attended Jan Kasprowicz Secondary School No. 1. He is a film director and screenwriter.

He studied law and theology at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, and also at the Catholic University of Leuven, in Belgium. In addition, he studied at the Lodz Film School. He was involved in the “Music and Film” film scoring workshop conducted by the composer Jan A.P. Kaczmarek, who won an Oscar for his score for the film “Finding Neverland”, in 2005.

Sławomir Moraczyński is the originator of Fundacja Inteligentnej Kultury FAROS, a foundation that aims to make it possible for artists to pursue their various artistic goals, within the broadly-defined sphere of culture, with a particular emphasis put on film.

In 2006, Sławomir Moraczyński made a documentary film about Grzegorz Jarzyna, under the title ,,Zajarzyć Jarzynę” / “Mr. Veggie-Dig”, based on a script co-written with Rafał Jerzak. The script brought him an honorary mention at the International Auteur Cinema Festival “Quest Europe” in Zielona Góra.

Sławomir Moraczyński is one of the authors of the special effects for the documentary film ,,Miłosz” (2013) directed by Katarzyna Gondek, for the TV series and full-feature film “Mayday” (2019) directed by Sam Akina, and for the film “Mosquito State” (2020) directed by Filip Jan Rymsz. He is also a co-producer for the bio-pic ,,Zenek” (2020) directed by Han Hryniak.
