It is a psychological thriller and the latest film directed by Jan Holoubek, which was shot on locations in Toruń and Bydgoszcz, among others. The story in the film happens simultaneously on both sides of the Iron Curtain. The main protagonist settles in France, where he can enjoy the comfort and freedom that the wealthy West offers. As part the intelligence mission he was given, he needs to blend in the local community. The main plot is set against the background of the ‘great history’ happening at the end of the 1970s and the beginning of the 1980s: the events that took place in August 1980 in Poland, the dark time of the Martial Law, and the era of political transformation.
