Olga Bołądź

Olga is an actress in cinema, theatre, and TV. She was born in 1984, in Toruń.
Olga Bołądź is a graduate of the AST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków, the Spanish Instituto del Teatro in Barcelona, and Stella Adler Academy in Los Angeles. She started her education in acting at the “school of stars” in Toruń, i.e. Studio P. in the Youth Culture Centre.

Her screen début came in 2006, when she played in “Święta polskie” by Janusz Majewski, in the short film titled “Razem” by Jan P. Matuszyńśki, in “Dzień w którym pękło niebo” (2009) by Karol Białas, and in “Próba mikrofonu” by Tomasz Jurkiewicz, the latter of which won awards at several-dozen film festivals.  She made her cinema début in “Korowód/Twists of Fate” by Jerzy Stuhr, in 2007. She was noticed by a wider audience after her performance in “Skorumpowani/The Corrupted” by Jarosław Żamojda, in which she played the main character.

In 2010, she played the leading character in “Skrzydlate świnie/Flying Pigs,” in which she portrayed a relentless and tough fan of football.  She demonstrated her acting artistry in “Nad życie/Life, Above All,” where she portrayed Agata Mróz, with bravado, winning the hearts and minds of film critics and viewers. In “Służby specjalne/Secret Wars” by Patryk Vega, she proved to be a chameleon of Polish cinema and demonstrated a wide range of acting skills. Recently, she played the leading character in the comedy “Volta” by Juliusz Machulski. In 2017, she created a very-captivating character in another film made with Bodo Kox – “Człowiek z magicznym pudełkiem/The Man with the Magic Box.” The film is an unconventional science-fiction story, in which we travel in time between Poland in the near future and Poland in the 1950s. The film received many awards, for example at the Gdynia Film Festival, and film festivals in Olsztyn, Trieste. It was also nominated twice for the Polish Film Awards: Eagles. One of her latest films includes “Botox” by Patryk Vega, which is yet-another proof that Olga Bołądź possesses extraordinary artistic skills to create unconventional and distinctive characters.

In “Another Day of Life,” an animated film made by Damian Nenow from Bydgoszcz and Raul de la Fuente, which had its première in Cannes, in 2018, Olga Bołądź gave her voice to Carlota, one of the characters in the film.
