Odwróceni is a story portraying two men, a gangster from the Pruszków mafia and a police officer from Warsaw, whose fates intertwine. This TV series was originally broadcast in 2007 and is now being continued, 12 years after its première.
The main protagonist is 1st Inspector Paweł Sikora from the Central Bureau of Investigation, who intends to persuade “Blacha”, one of the gangsters, into cooperating with the police. It is only through his assistance that the inspector can hope to bring a case against members of the Pruszków mafia. The series offers an insight into the perilous game played both by the police officer trying his best to win the gangster over, and the criminal plotting to corrupt the officer.
In the series, we see Robert Więckiewicz playing Jan “Blacha” Blachowski and Małgorzata Foremniak, who plays his wife in the film, Artur Żmijewski as Paweł Sikora, and Anna Radwan, his film wife. Some other actors featured in it include Andrzej Zieliński, Maciej Kozłowski, Andrzej Grabowski, Janusz Chabior, plus many others.
The film crew landed in Brodnica on 27th October 2006. The location chosen to shoot a number of scenes for episode 8 in the series was one of the streets located in the Market Square in Brodnica, namely ul. Jatki. In addition, the film also takes us to Lisa Młyn settlement, which is located in the vicinity of the town.
