Błaszak Marcin

Marcin Błaszak is an actor appearing in television productions and on stage of the Ester Rachel Kamińska and Ida Kamińska State Jewish Theatre in Warsaw. He was born on 13th June 1980, in Bydgoszczbut spent his childhood in the region of Pałuki, namely in Barcin.

In 2006, he graduated from the Acting Studio of the State Jewish Theatre in Warsaw, passing an external examination for drama actors. Marcin Błaszak also studied at the Acting Department of the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw and at the Faculty of Polish Studies at the University of Warsaw.

His screen début came in 2004, in a video clip shot for the song “Nie zawiedź mnie” (Do not let me down) by Virgin, a band led by singer Dorota “Doda” Rabczewska.

He gained a lot of popularity, thanks to his numerous appearances in TV series. You can see him in the following television productions: Barwy szczęścia, Na dobre i na złe, or Klan. He was also cast for the TV series Prawo Agaty, which was shot in Bydgoszcz, and in Pierwsza miłość, in the latter of which he played photographer Wojtek.

Marcin Błaszak’sportofolio also includes roles in full-length films. One of them was in Świetne wieści/Great news (2016), in which he played as Asia’s fiancée, alongside Tomasz Borkowski and Katarzyna Zawadzka. His artistic portfolio also includes a number of roles in TV plays (Teatr Telewizji). You could see him in Scena Faktu series of television plays, namely in Doktor Halina and Tajny współpracownik.

From the dawn of his acting career, Marcin Błaszak has had strong connections with theatre. He has been part of the acting team of the State Jewish Theatre in Warsaw, since 2007, where he made his acting début in the play The Dybbuk, or Between Two Worlds, in 2004, directed by Szymon Szurmiej. The actor also worked for the Grand Theatre in Warsaw and the Ochota Theatre.
