Pesta Krystian

Krystian Pesta is a theatre, film, and television actor, born on 18th July, 1992, in Toruń. He started taking theatre classes as early as during the first year at a grammar school, organised by Studio P. at the Youth Culture Centre in Toruń. He continued it, until his secondary school-leaving examination. After that, he moved to Łódź to start his studies at the Lodz Film School, which he successfully completed in 2017.

In the years 2016-2018, he performed on the stage of Teatr Ludowy in Cracow. During that time, he played in the stage production Panna Julia / Miss Julie, directed by Radek Stępień, and in the play Rewizor. Będzie wojna /The Government Inspector. There is Going to be a War, directed by Małgorzata Bogajewska,in the latter of which he was cast as the leading character. Then, he started working forthe Stefan Jaracz Theatre in Łódź, where he has continued to perform since 2018.

He started playing in films and TV series even before graduating from the film academy. His début came with a guest appearance in one of the episodes of the TV series Na Wspólnej, in which he played a journalist. In 2014, he was cast for the TV series Komisarz Alex and  Lekarze / Doctors , and just a year later in the short film Powrót by Paweł Siedlik.

His first role in a feature film came in 2016, as Daniel, a friend of Maria, in the film Czułość / Tenderness directed by Wacław Mikłaszewski. He was also cast for the second season of the TV series Belfer, in which he played Borys, an officer of the Central Bureau of Investigation. In 2018, he portrayed a security guard in the TV series 1983, an international production involving many different film directors, including Agnieszka Holland. One year later, he was cast for the TV series Młody Piłsudski by Jarosław Marszewski.

Krystian Pesta is often picked for other film productions. In 2019, he played in the war drama Legiony / The Legions directed by Dariusz Gajewski, which is a story about love and friendship during the turbulent period of the Polish fight for independence. In the same year, the actor was cast to play an assassin in the action film Jak zostałem gangsterem. Historia prawdziwa directed by Maciej Kawulski, which is a story about a dangerous Polish gangster, based on facts.
