Krzysztof Herdzin was born 21st May 1970, in Bydgoszcz. He is a professor in theory and practice of music, as well as a pianist, composer, music arranger, conductor, actor and vocalist.
He was only 5 years old, when he started learning how to play the piano. He is a graduate of the famous Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. In 2010, he started working there as an academic teacher. Eleven years later, in 2021, he achieved the title of a professor of theory and practice of music.
During his music career, he worked with many great artists, for example with Ewa Bem, Danuta Błażejczyk, Dorota Miśkiewicz, Edyta Geppert or Anna Maria Jopek. He now performs as the band Krzysztof Herdzin Trio comprised of Cezary Konrad on drums and Robert Kubiszyn on a double bass and bass.
Krzysztof Herdzin has composed over 3,000 instrumental pieces. As a music arranger, he has won 19 gold records. He has also conducted over 40 orchestras, both in Poland and abroad. As a music arranger and album producer, he has cooperated with some of the top Polish artists, including Irena Santor, Maryla Rodowicz, Natalia Kukulska, Kayah, or Kuba Badach.
Krzysztof Herdzin has also composed and performed many piano pieces for films. He worked with A.P. Kaczmarek, as a conductor of the music written for the Academy Award-winning film ‘Finding Neverland’ directed by Marc Foster.
