Dominika Markuszewska

Dominika Markuszewska was born on 10 February 1981 in Rypin, Poland. She is a Polish film and theatre actress, a graduate of the Lart Studio (2001) and the PWST State Theatre School, both based in Kraków.

In 2005 she first appeared on the silver screen in the drama film Rozdroże Cafe (Crossroads Café), dir. Leszek Wosiewicz, as the sister of Grześ, a young boy who decides to rob a bank. In 2011 Markuszewska starred in Sala samobójców (Suicide Room), accompanied, among others, by Jakub Gierszał, Roma Gąsiorowska, and Agata Kulesza. She is also known for her role in Zbliżenia (Close-ups) (2014), dir. Magdalena Piekorz, and a number of TV series, including Pierwsza miłość (First Love) (since 2004), Barwy szczęścia (Colours of Happiness) (2008), Przepis na życie (Recipe for Life) (2011- 2012), Przyjaciółki (Friends) (2014), Prawo Agaty (True Law) (2014), O mnie się nie martw (Don’t Worry About Me) (2016) or M jak miłość (L for Love) (2016).

Dominika Markuszewska started theatre acting by appearing in a Shakespearean play directed by Jerzy Stuhr, Ryszard III (Richard III), in which she portrayed Lady Anne. The play was performed on the Ludowy Theatre stage in Kraków, where she now works.
