Grzegorz Daroń was born on 7th October 1969, in Bydgoszcz. He is a musician, composer of film music for full-length films, documentaries, and TV series, as well as an author of songs and a producer.
He graduated from Liceum Medyczne (Medical Secondary School) in Bydgoszcz, and then from the famous Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, in the timpani and percussion class. As a professional percussionist, he worked with many musicians from Bydgoszcz, and some of the top musicians in Poland.
In 1997, he made his début as a film music composer. He was the author of the soundtrack for the film ‘Młode Wilki 1/2’ (Fast Lane 1/2) directed by Jarosław Żamojda. Later on, he composed music for many popular Polish films, including: ‘Pierwszy milion’ (2000) by Waldemar Dziki, ‘Zróbmy sobie wnuka’ (‘Let’s Make Ourselves a Grandchild’) (2003) by Piotr Wereśniak, or ‘Śniadanie do łóżka’ (2010) by Krzysztof Lang.
Grzegorz Daroń is a member of the Polish Film Academy. As a professional drummer, he is part of the stage band for Justyna Steczkowska, and many others.
